Hi! I’m Ashley Desantiago — the hands and heart behind Silk Delights Floral. I’m 20 years old and started my bouquet business on January 16, 2024, after falling in love with the art of floral arranging through countless Instagram tutorials. I’ve always had a “I can do that!” attitude, and once I picked up my first ribbon and flower, I knew this was something special.

Creating bouquets brings me so much joy. Growing up, I never received flowers myself, so every time someone places an order for a loved one — especially a custom one — it touches my heart deeply. I pour all my love into each piece, knowing it’ll be part of someone’s meaningful moment.

My two dogs are my loyal late-night companions. Whether I’m crafting Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day orders at 12am or still finishing up at 5am, they’re right by my side (or laying on a pile of petals!). You’ll even see one of them caught in the act on this page

I also couldn’t do this without my parents — my biggest supporters. My mom is my biggest cheerleader - she gives me rides to and from my wholesalers and helps me with deliveries all over town. After losing part of my vision in my left eye due to a blood clot last year, I haven’t been able to drive. It’s been a big adjustment, but with her support (and a lot of determination), I’ve kept going.

And my dad - where do I even start? He's the one who'll pay for my entire cart of supplies without taking a cent when I try to pay him back (don't worry, I will pay him back!). He helps me build my workspace exactly how I want it, researches new suppliers, and even brainstorms floral arrangement ideas with me - all while working a tough out-of-state job that only lets him to come home every other weekend, after a 7+ hour drive. He still makes the time and never complains. If I were in his shoes, I definitely would.

Silk Delights Floral is more than just a small business — it’s my passion, my therapy, and my dream. Every bouquet is handcrafted with love, late-night effort, and a little bit of pet fur magic.
